When visiting this site, some may say "Why would I be interested in Obi-Wan and Amidala as a couple when I know that Anakin will be Amidala's husband anyway?". I cannot answer on behalf of all Obi/Ami shippers, but I prefer this pairing over the traditional because of Obi-Wan's role as the "tragic character" and how Amidala is not able to show her true emotions since she is Queen of Naboo and must maintain a solemn demeanor in order to rule sensibly. With those qualities, they both just 'fit' together. Well anyway, I just love them as a couple!

Yesterday I read about the tragic loss of one of us. Liz Kenobi aka amidala thrace died on March, 20th due cancer. I knew her for obidalastills community over at livejournal and of course for her great fanfics she also shared at obiwan_padme. She was such a wonderful person and I will miss her a lot. The only thing I can do for her now is to give her a special place here at obidala.net gathering her fanfics.At Jedi News and at the Obidala Fanforum you can share your thoughts and memories. by Nadia @ Mar 31, 2011 09:02 am
